Jeremy Schoemaker Spills His Guts For 1hr 48min
Just type in “shoemoney” into Google.com you will get more than 363,000 results. Did you get that, that’s 363,000 web pages mention the name “shoemoney”. Geez that is absolutely unbelievable.
In 2004 I first heard about Jeremy Schoemaker. I was a regular contributor to the DigitalPoint Forums and I was just starting to get into Google Adsense. In those days you could make money with Adsense and I was looking for anything related to making money with Google Adsense.
I came across a post called “My Tips” started by this guy with a username “Shoemoney“. This guy just spilled his guts about everything he knew and was doing to earn $1000′s on Adsense. Hundreds of people were hanging off his every word, me included. Have a look at this image of Jeremy holding his very first really big Google cheque. [click to continue…]

Last night like everyone else, I updated my WordPress to the latest version 3.5. But after updating when I tried to login I got this error: Missing Argument 2 in prepare() function defined in wp-db.php
What the hell is this? Normally when I update WordPress, it’s a very simple process. And I normally don’t even do what WordPress suggest, I don’t even backup my database. I know, you don’t have to tell me, I’m an idiot!
So I do what I always do when I am confronted by a message like this, I Googled it and search for a fix. To my surprise, I wasn’t the only one with the same problem. There were 1000′s of posts with exactly the same problem. I ended up finding this post Getting WordPress 3.5 to run again!
Rcents from Kloodin.com had woken just like me to exactly the same error after his WordPress update to version 3.5 and he isn’t even a programmer and he was able to help me fix my problem, so I am hoping that Rcents fix can help you. [click to continue…]

How I keep my WordPress clients from ruining my day
I’ve made it no secret that apart from being a contributing WordPress Internet Marketer, I also own a successful Website Design company in Adelaide, Australia and one of the most frustrating parts of being the designer is the coaching I have to do after each WordPress site is completed.
Well that was before I found this fantastic WordPress plugin that not only stops my clients from ringing me at 2am, asking “Steve, sorry for ringing you so late, but can you tell me how do I add a new Page to my website?”. I’m just like most normal web designers, I go to bed at 1am and by 2am, I am seeing REM. [click to continue…]

Migrating a WordPress blog & broken links
I migrate WordPress blogs all the time. As a designer I make a dummy version of a clients website then after I have finished developing it, I will migrate it to my clients hosting server. Sometimes, I find that some of the image url’s look like this www.domain.com.au//wp-content/uploads/12/demo.png Can you tell me what’s wrong with this url?
That’s right! There are 2 trailing // when there should only be one. So how can we fix that?
Well in the old days I would make a database backup, open up all the database tables and look for the // and change it to a single /. It would take hours of work and I wasn’t sure I got all the double // Then I read a question posted on http://stackoverflow.com about how to fix this issue. The answer lead me to Search Replace DB v 2.1.0

You give me a Like, I give you a Like, everyone give us all a Facebook Like
A while ago I had an idea that I recon will benefit us all. I would like to start a Facebook Like Exchange.
Basically, how it works and I have to say it’s incredibly easy to do, is that if you give me a Facebook Like, I will give one in return. Then I will open up the comments below for everyone to exchange Facebook Likes with each other.
I will monitor it to make sure no-one is getting pissed off or doing the wrong thing. When you think about it, it’s a Win, Win situation. I will start it all. So give me your details in a Comment below and I will visit your site and give it a Facebook Like.
There are only 3 conditions:
- Must have a Facebook Like button on your website.
- Must have a Facebook account.
- Must register at this account so that we can keep out the bots and Spammers.
